Suffolk County law enforcement is investigating the theft of seven aluminum bleachers from Smith Field, a complex used by Sachem Little League. According to Sachem Youth Athletic Group Commissioner Bob Cummings, each bleacher weighs approximately 300 pounds and carries an estimated value nearing $10,000. The league has indicated financial constraints in replacing them. Authorities noted a trail of broken bleacher parts leading toward a neighbor’s property, though a search of that residence yielded no findings.
