Alexandria Soccer Association’s “Soccer IN School” initiative has concluded its inaugural year by engaging all 1,360 second graders across Alexandria City Public Schools with soccer lessons on the school’s football fields. The program delivered free jerseys, balls, and take‑home toolkits to each student and was funded through a U.S. Soccer Innovate to Grow grant. The effort included activities on local football fields, emphasizing community outreach and youth engagement in soccer. The program will continue next year with the current first graders advancing into the cohort, reflecting sustained development of soccer activity on school football fields.
